Our Origin Story
Alpine Edge began not in a boardroom, but on a windswept chairlift. It was born from a simple, shared frustration: the gear available was either prohibitively expensive or failed to deliver the performance that serious riders demanded. Our founder, a lifelong skier and engineer, saw a gap between the athlete's needs and the market's offerings. The journey started in a small garage, with a singular mission: to engineer world-class winter sports equipment that was durable, innovative, and accessible to a new generation of adventurers. We spent years prototyping, testing, and refining, guided by one principle: if we wouldn't trust it on the most challenging black diamond run, it wasn't worthy of the Alpine Edge name.

Our Design & Testing Process
Every design begins with rigorous research. We analyze athlete feedback, study emerging materials, and use computer modeling to simulate performance in extreme conditions before a single physical component is made.
Our in-house workshop brings concepts to life. We create multiple prototypes, experimenting with different core profiles, base materials, and flex patterns to find the perfect balance of characteristics for the intended use.
This is where theory meets reality. We give our prototypes to professional athletes and seasoned instructors. They push the gear to its absolute limit on the world's most demanding terrain, from Alaskan powder bowls to icy Alpine pistes.
Based on extensive field data, we refine every detail. We might adjust the sidecut by a millimeter or alter the carbon layup for better torsional rigidity. This iterative process continues until the gear exceeds all performance benchmarks.
